Jesse Eisenberg (Vivarium), Adrien Brody (The Grand Budapest Hotel), and Riley Keough (The Devil All The Time) are to star in Manodrome, from director John Trengrove.

According to Variety, the plot will be a ‘nihilistic thriller following Ralphie (Eisenberg), an Uber driver and aspiring bodybuilder who is inducted into a libertarian masculinity cult and loses his grip on reality when his repressed desires are awakened.’

South African John Trengrove will write and direct the project, the follow-up to 2017’s The Wound which was a firm festival favourite. Manodrome marks his first English-language feature.

With sales launching at Cannes Marketplace, look out for more information like production dates for this one in the future. All three actors have exciting projects coming soon, Eisenberg is working on his directorial debut When You Finish Saving The World, whilst Brody will be seen in Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch and Keough in Sundance pleaser Zola.
