The End We Start From stars Jodie Comer, with Mahalia Belo set to direct: more details on the upcoming British thriller here.

Fresh from picking up her second BAFTA over the weekend, Jodie Comer has now added a fresh film project to her upcoming slate.

The movie is a thriller by the name of The End We Start From, set in a London that’s under flood waters. Comer will play a woman with a newborn child, who’s trying to safely find her way home.

Megan Hunter wrote the book that the story is based on, and Alice Birch has adapted it for the screen. Mahalia Belo is set to direct the film, with Benedict Cumberbatch listed amongst its executive producers too.

The film is selling at the Cannes Film Festival and hasn’t shot yet. But expect more news on it shortly. We’ll keep you posted once we have either a start of production date, or news of a release.
