Joe Manganiello joins the promising cast for the upcoming dark comedic thriller, The Kill Room: more details here.

Almost 30 years since appearing together in Quentin’s Tarantino’s trailblazing Pulp Fiction, Uma Thurman and Samuel L Jackson are to share the screen once more in Nicol Paone’s upcoming dark comedy thriller, The Kill Room. Now it has been announced that they will be joined by Magic Mike XXL’s Joe Manganiello.

In The Kill Room, the story follows a triangle of characters: ‘a hitman played by Manganiello, his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman), and a money-laundering scheme that accidentally turns the assassin into an overnight avant-garde sensation, one that forces them to play the art world against the underworld.’

The film will be directed by Friendsgiving‘s Nicol Paone and could hit cinemas as soon as next year.

Manganiello of course, is infamous for being cast as super-assassin, Deathstroke in Zack Snyder’s DC Snyder-verse series of superhero movies, but outside of a cameo appearance or two, never really getting to play the role. With its zany plot set around an assassin played by Manganiello, The Kill Room might be the closest we ever get to Manganiello in something approaching a Deathstroke solo movie, unless those rumours about a TV show ever come to fruition… whatever The Kill Room ends up becoming though, we’re looking forward to it.

Filming is set to begin this spring in New York and New Jersey with the aim being to sell the film at Cannes. We’ll bring you more, including further casting as we hear it.
