Borderlands will star John Boyega, Felicity Jones, Jodie Turner Smith and Jack Reynor – and here are details of the upcoming thriller.

A new thriller is coming together from directors Thomas and Charles Guard, that’s already brought together a hugely impressive cast.

John Boyega, Felicity Jones, Jack Reynor and Jodie Turner Smith are to headline Borderland, a film set during the time of the IRA at high profile in and around the 1970s. It’s based on the book from Steven S Moysey entitled The Road To Balcombe Street: The IRA Reign Of Terror In London, and his text has been adapted for the screen by the Guard brothers along with Ronan Bennett.

The film will tell the story of a border ambush going wrong, and an SAS sergeant played by Boyega shooting the pregnant wife of an Irish paramilitary (played by Reynor). When Boyega’s character is set to London, Reynor’s isn’t far behind, and it sets up two men with two different missions.

The plan for the movie is to have it in front of the cameras in the first half of 2021, and that would likely point towards a release in 2022.

More on the movie as we hear it.
