If like this writer, Chad Stahelski keeps his to-do list on a Post-It note, let it be known that this may be the world’s most exciting Post-It note.
As well as planning to shoot John Wick 4 (and if rumours are true, John Wick 5 back to back) in 2021, the director is also developing the long-mooted Highlander reboot that we’ve been hearing about for years. Now, you can add Classified to that list, a high-octane thriller that is described as Indiana Jones meets Die Hard.
The project is being described as ‘a high octane thriller … set inside a top secret government bunker, the kind that ends Raiders Of The Lost Ark. That bunker contains relics covertly recovered during World War II, and they turn out to be more powerful and dangerous than ever imagined.’
Consider us sold.
Stahelski has recently completed work on the upcoming fourth instalment of The Matrix, where he reunited with David Leitch to once again co-ordinate the stunt sequences for the return of the legendary action franchise. We’re certainly excited to see any of Stahelski’s projects materialise at the moment, Classified very much included. We’ll let you know more as we hear it.
