Spoilers for Falcon And The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Endgame come fast at you in this story.

The events of the TV show Falcon and the Winter Soldier left Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson firmly established as the new Captain America, after being handed the shield by Steve Rogers at the climax of the movie Avengers: Endgame.

This brings us to the long awaited Captain America 4. Firstly, it’s happening. Secondly, we now know that Julius Onah, who previously helmed 2018’s The Cloverfield Paradox, will direct the film, from a screenplay by Falcon and the Winter Soldier showrunner Malcolm Spellman and staff writer Dalan Musson.
