Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson are both set to return, as Disney gives the nod to Jungle Cruise 2.

We hate to wait long enough for the film to roll around following its pandemic-enforced delay, but it seems as though the Jungle Cruise movie has more than delivered the goods for Disney.

The film crossed the $100m mark at the American box office over the weekend just gone, and that’s no mean feat in the current climate. Add in the fact that it was available on Disney+ Premier Access as well, and we can call Jungle Cruise a hit.

So much so that Disney is now looking to bring everyone together for Jungle Cruise 2. That’d mean Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson are stepping back onto the boat, along with director Jaume Collet-Serra.

Michael Green is going to be on scripting duties for the second film, but beyond that, details are scarce. Just that it’s happening, and that everyone looks like they’re returning.

More as we hear it.
