Kevin Smith closes the Clerks trilogy with the incoming Clerks III – and the first trailer for the movie has just landed.

It’s been a long time coming, but Kevin Smith appears to have finally wrapped up work on his third and likely final Clerks movie, Clerks III.

The film is heading into cinemas in the US in September, although it’s not popped up on the UK release schedules as of yet (at least not that we can see). Smith has recruited Rosario Dawson, Jeff Anderson, Brian O’Halloran and Jason Mewes to lead the cast this time around, having penned the script himself as well. He’ll also be reprising the role of Silent Bob.

And now we have a trailer for the film! It looks like this…

For now, we’ll leave you with the synopsis. Not that it’s a very long synopsis, but it’s a synopsis…

Dante, Elias, and Jay and Silent Bob are enlisted by Randal after a heart attack to make a movie about the convenience store that started it all.

When we get a UK release date, we’ll let you know…
