A new Kick-Ass film? Quite possibly, as Chloe Grace Moretz leaves open the possibility of playing Hit-Girl for a third time.

It’s over a decade now since Chloe Grace Moretz burst onto our screens as one of the teen stars of the film Kick-Ass. Directed by Matthew Vaughn and based on the comic book by Mark Millar, the film was a blast out of nowhere, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Nicolas Cage also in the ensemble.

The film was followed by a less-impressive sequel, which gave Moretz’s potty-mouthed violent character Hit Girl more to do, but since then the franchise has laid dormant.

But there are small signs of a resurrection. There had been rumours of a further film, but in an interview on Jimmy Fallon’s show in the US this week, Moretz admitted that Hit-Girl is a role that she’d want to return to, when quizzed about the rumours.

She straight-batted a defensive shot as to just what she knows of the movie, but did tease that “I think it would be really fun to see where Hit-Girl goes and what she is like as an adult”, adding, “but I think it would have to be kind of perfect”.

It sounds like it hinges on whether he co-stars and the film’s creatives would return. But there’s a chance she knows more than us about this…
