Les Miserables: The Staged Concert heading (back) to UK cinemas this week

Extra screenings of the Les Miserables concert are confirmed for UK cinemas this weekend.

A brief sojourn over to the world of musical theatre. Earlier this year, the London musical run of Les Miserables was interrupted, when the show closed after 34 years. Its home theatre has had a spruce up, and the set redesigned, with normal service resumed this month. But bridging the gap has been Les Miserables: The Staged Concert, which has seen a cast and orchestra of over 65 people sing the songs from the show.

Furthermore, the concert was beamed to cinemas for ‘one night only’ on Monday. Only it’s not quite one night only, as encore screenings have been arranged for this coming weekend. On both Saturday and Sunday, too.

It’ll be a recording of the live show from the Gielgud Theatre in London, and over 400 cinemas will be screening the show.

Tickets are on sale now.
