Liam Neeson signs up for a new action thriller, as a gangster trying to break free from his past: more details here.
In a dramatic change of directi…. nope, can’t even get past the first sentence of that. Bottom line: Liam Neeson is starring in another action thriller where he’s an angry old man trying to break free and right wrongs.
This one’s called Thug, and sees him reunite with director Hans Petter Moland, who helmed the movie Cold Pursuit. The pair were linked with a sequel to that, but instead it looks like Thug has taken precedent.
It’s based on a script from Tony Gayton, and the plan is to shoot the movie in October of this year. Filming is slated for Los Angeles.
Neeson plays a gangster in this one, trying to make things right with his children. That said, his gangster chums aren’t so keen to let go, and so, y’know, he’s going to have to do some gangster stuff is our guess.
No word on a release date, but can’t imagine this’ll take too long to turn around. Expect a release in 2023 would be our guess.
