Filmmakers can now submit their films to this autumn’s two biggest film festivals in London.

The BFI has confirmed the dates to mark in your diary for this year’s London Film Festival. The 63rd running of the event will take place from 2nd to the 13th of October later this year, and once again screenings will be taking place at several venues around the capital.

We’re some way away from finding out what any of those screenings are, but we do know that the invitation for submissions is now open. The final deadline to submit a short or feature film for inclusion in the festival is Friday 14th June, at 5pm. If you’re interested in submitting your film, the website you need is www.bfi.org.uk/lff

Running just before the London Film Festival is the Raindance Film Festival, that aims to showcase brilliant new cinema from the UK and around the planet. Submissions for that are open too, with the first deadline coming up on Friday 26th April. The festival itself will run from 18th to the 29th of September. Details of how to submit your film are here: https://www.raindance.org/festival/submissions/

More on both festivals later in the year.
