The musical comedy Lyle Lyle, Crocodile follows the misadventures of a singing crocodile in New York – here’s the trailer.

Based on the children’s book series by Bernard Waber, Lyle Lyle, Crocodile follows the Primm family, as they move to New York City. A social outcast, youngest child Josh struggles to fit in, until he discovers the titular crooning crocodile in the bathroom.. Despite his parents protestations, they develop a close bond and with the help of charismatic owner Hector, they battle bullies and nasty neighbours in a bid to stop them from getting rid of him.

Lyle is voiced by singer Shawn Mendes in his feature film debut, while Hector is played by Javier Bardem. Josh is played by Winslow Fegley and his parents are played by Constance Wu and Scott McNairy.

Filmmaking duo Will Speck and Josh Gordon direct from a screenplay by Johnny English and recently released Netflix series Man Vs Bee writer William Davies.

Lyle Lyle, Crocodile is set to be released on 7th October. Watch the trailer below:
