George Miller continues to prepare his new Mad Max film, which he plans to shoot in 2021.

Whilst Hollywood is shut down in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, an assortment of filmmakers are slowly progressing their upcoming projects behind closed doors.

One of those filmmakers is George Miller, who’s developing his fifth Mad Max film, that’ll be a prequel. It’ll tell a story of the younger version of Charlize Theron’s Furiosa character from Mad Max: Fury Road, and according to Variety, Miller has begun sounding out possible actors to take on the role.

High up the list? That’d be Anya Taylor-Joy, who’s just appeared on the big screen in Emma, and is heading to cinemas again later this year (in theory) with X-Men: The New Mutants.

The aim with the new Mad Max film is to have it shooting next year. Obviously it’s all a little up in the air, though.

We’ll keep you posted…
