An epic-looking oral history book for Mad Max: Fury Road heads our way in 2022, telling the story of the epic action film.
The story just to get George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road to the screen is something of an epic in itself. There were delays and an abundance of problems. Then, after a tense shoot, the post-production phase involves months just working through the footage of the movie.
But boy was it worth it. Mad Max Fury Road earned a rare – for a sequel and action movie – Best Picture nomination at the Oscars, and Miller is now hard at work on a prequel film, Furiosa.
Yet the story of Fury Road’s making is now set to be explored in further detail thanks to a brand new book from author Kyle Buchanan. He’s conducted more than 130 new interviews for Blood, Sweat & Chrome: The Wild and True Story of Mad Max: Fury Road, that’s set to be published in the UK by William Morrow next year.
The 320-page book is set to be released on 17th March 2022, and looks like being pretty definitive account of the making of a modern classic. You can order yourself a copy of it right here.
