Channing Tatum, Reid Carolin and Steven Soderbergh are bringing Magic Mike back to the screen – just not the big screen, it seems.

Six years after the last movie in the series, the Magic Mike double-pack is about to become a trilogy. There’s some gag we should probably do about it needing to be a six pack, but rest assured we’re not that cheap.

Channing Tatum, it’s been announced is returning for Magic Mike’s Last Dance, the official title for Magic Mike 3. Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first film and stayed very much involved in the second, is returning to helm chapter three. Reid Carolin is back to pen the script too.

The plan is for this one to skip cinemas though, and instead go straight to Warner Bros’ HBO Max streaming service. Quite why it’d bypass cinemas is a decision above our pay grade, but there we are.

No news on when the film will start shooting or be released, but it seems as though the script is already written, so don’t expect all concerned to hang around. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
