Mark Kermode confirms that three more episodes of Secrets Of Cinema are in the offing.
Here’s some good news to kick off the year with. Via the magic of his Twitter account, Mark Kermode has confirmed that three new episodes of the acclaimed Mark Kermode’s Secrets Of Cinema have been ordered. The new episodes are being shot this week, for broadcast across the year.
As Mark is always careful to share credit, so we’ll be too. Kim Newman has returned as head writer, with Nick Freand Jones and Jon Das also writing and producing. Jane Long is back on archive searching duties too, completing the line up that’s driven the series pretty much since the start.
What genres the new episodes will cover and when we can expect them? These are unanswered questions at the moment. But as we get more details, we’ll pass them your way.
Here’s Dr Kermode’s Tweet…
Next week, we’re shooting THREE new episodes of SECRETS OF CINEMA! Just finalising scripts – typically brilliant work by SoC head writer @AnnoDracula, with ace input from co-writers @nickfreand and John Das. And thrilling archive sourcing by the brilliant @janelong.
