We already knew that a trio of new episodes had been ordered by BBC Four, and that they had been filming earlier this month. Kermode is hosting, and the crew features writer Kim Newman, director John Das, producer Nick Freand Jones, archivist Jane Long and composer Neil Brand.

Furthermore, we’d previously revealed that the three episodes this time are about cult movies, British comedies and pop movies.

We now learn that the new series has been confirmed to debut on January 11th on BBC Four, with episodes also going onto BBC iPlayer straight afterwards as usual. Hopefully, the show will remain on iPlayer for a good period of time after that.

More on the show in the coming weeks. No sign yet of a recommission for Kermode & Mayo’s Home Entertainment Service though. And that’s not even on iPlayer…
