Peyton Reed will return to direct Ant-Man 3 for Marvel, expected in 2022.
They might not be the most commercially successful of the Marvel cinematic universe films, but there’s a lot of love out there for the two Ant-Man features to date. And as a result, a third is now on the way.
Peyton Reed originally jumped aboard the first film as director late in the day, when Edgar Wright and Marvel parted company on the project. He returned to do the sequel, Ant-Man & The Wasp. And he’s now getting the chance to complete a trilogy of films, as he’s set to return to helm the thus-far unnamed Ant-Man 3.
It’s still some way off though. Filming is expected to start until this time next year at the earliest, which points to a release in the summer of 2022.
Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas are all set to return for the new film. More as we hear it.
