The official trailer for Mass has been released ahead of the film’s US release in October.

A trailer has been released for new film Mass, starring Jason Isaacs (Skyfire), Martha Plimpton (Honey Bee) , Reed Birney (The Hunt) and Ann Dowd (Hereditary).

The film debuted at this years Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews and will be headed to US cinemas in October with no UK release date announced as of yet. Based on the calibre of the film and its stars, it’s likely to be entering the end of year awards race, so expect to see it hit the UK in the early new year, though hopefully it will be sooner.

Check out the tense trailer below, which should give you a good idea of what to expect from the film.

A bit more about the plot if the trailer hasn’t already piqued your excitement.

Years after an unspeakable tragedy tore their lives apart, two sets of parents (Jason Isaacs and Martha Plimpton, Reed Birney and Ann Dowd) agree to talk privately in an attempt to move forward. In Fran Kranz’ writing and directing debut, he thoughtfully examines their journey of grief, anger and acceptance by coming face-to-face with the ones who have been left behind.

We’ll keep you updated as and when a UK release date is announced.
