The thriller Hunt Club is set to flip the script on genre conventions it says here: more details on the upcoming movie have emerged.

The rich getting their kicks from hunting people is almost a genre unto itself, from 2019’s Ready Or Not to 2020’s controversial The Hunt.

The plot of Hunt Club leads you down what you think is a well worn path. A  group of rich men gather a group of women so they can partake in a sadistic hunt. So far, so Hostel. However, on this particular occasion, their victims aren’t so passive, and the hunters soon become the hunted.

Mickey Rourke and Mena Suvari headline the film, with the ensemble completed by Casper Van Dien, Maya Stojan, Will Peltz and Jessica Belkin.

Elizabeth Blake-Thomas directs from a screenplay by David Lipper and John F. Saunders.

Filming has just wrapped in Mississippi. No release date has been announced, but we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
