Michael Bay is to produce a new thriller, that will look at what happens if the current pandemic is still raging in two years’ time – more details here.

If you’re looking for a man with a quietly subtle touch to get across the difficulties of the last couple of months, well, so are we. In the meantime, Michael Bay is collaborating with Adam Goodman, as the pair are set to produce a new film called Songbird.

This one’s a thriller about a pandemic, and the plan is to start filming the production in Los Angeles. What’s more, they want to start production in around five weeks.

Whether they’re allowed to is another thing, but plans are in place to make the film in this new era of distancing and added safety protocols.

Adam Mason is set to direct the movie, and the screenplay for the film has been penned by Simon Boyes. The movie itself will be set two years in the future, imagining that the pandemic hasn’t gone away, and the virus has mutated further. It sound like just the kind of escapist entertainment that the world will be looking for.

More news on the film as we hear it. There’s no casting information as of yet, so that’s likely to be next…
