Michael Bay has another new action film lined up, by the name of Black 5.
Since he rounded off his collection of unmissable Transformers film, director Michael Bay has been hard at work on a new project for Netflix. He’s been directing Six Underground, a new action film starring Ryan Reynolds. Netflix is expected to debut that before Christmas.
Once he’s finally wrapped up on that, he’s heading back to Sony Pictures for the first time since the Bad Boys movies. He’s set to direct a new action film by the name of Black 5 for the studio.
It’s been penned by Ehren Kruger, and the plan is for it to be a videogame project as well as a separate film. The movie is set to come first.
Should the story be confirmed – and everyone appears to be staying mum for the time being – then filming would get underway at the start of next year. That’d point towards a 2021 release. More news on the film as we get it.
