Nicholas Hoult joins the next Mission: Impossible film.

Production is set to begin later this year on both Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8, that are filming back to back. Christopher McQuarrie, who has penned and helmed the last two films in the franchise, is returning for the next two as well. And, of course, Tom Cruise is reprising the lead role of Ethan Hunt.

We already know of a few new additions to the ensemble. Shea Wigham, Pom Klementieff and Hayley Atwell have been recruited for the cast, with Simon peg, Rebecca Ferguson and Ving Rhames also set to return.

Now we learn that Nicholas Hoult is the latest addition to the ensemble. He’s joining the seventh film at least in an undisclosed role, as revealed by McQuarrie on his social media account.
