Simon from Trev & Simon is coming along to this week’s Movie Geek Live on Thursday – more details on our what he’s up to right here.

I’m absolutely delighted to announce one of my two guests for this week’s first ever Movie Geek Live show in London. Taking place in London this Thursday, June 23rd, the 90 minute show – that’s long been running in Birmingham – is me nerding on about movies, with one or two special guests on hand too.

And I’m thrilled to reveal the first of them.

Simon Hickson is a name known to many of us who grew up in the 1980s and 1990s, through the brilliant Trev & Simon double act. A staple part of Saturday morning kids television – swinging pants, and not doing duvets – the pair frequently worked with huge names as part of their sketches, and if you’ve not had the considerable pleasure, a brisk search of YouTube is very much advised.

Simon Hickson has had something of a career swerve in more recent times, and he now manages a cinema. Not just that, a cinema in a hospital as part of the work of the wonderful Medicinema. And this Thursday – yep, we’re still going ahead, we know there’s a train strike! – he’s going to be telling me the story, live and in person.

Tickets for the show are available here. Or you can book them directly through this page, magically, just under these words…
