MUBI has confirmed the release date of festival hit Shiva Baby in the UK.
Already available on video on demand in the United States, MUBI UK confirmed today via Twitter that the film will be available to view on the streaming platform on the 11th June.
Shiva Baby is a new comedy film written and directed by Emma Seligman based on her short film of the same name. It follows ‘a directionless young bisexual Jewish woman who attends a shiva with her family.’ It initially premiered at South by Southwest online in 2020 and went on to Toronto International Film Festival before its mainstream release. It’s received widespread acclaim, currently sitting at 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.
