As Disney gets ready to launch Mulan for a premium price this Friday on Disney+, the wait for regular subscribers isn’t likely to be long.

As box office results come in suggesting that Tenet has won its gamble to release in cinemas around the world, Disney’s Mulan – which was to be the other big blockbuster to test the water – is heading to Disney+ this week. Well, not quite Disney+: it’s instead being released as Disney+ Premier Access.

Basically, in the UK, if you have a Disney+ subscription, you’ll be able to pay £19.99 from Friday, and in return get access to the film. That access will be maintained as long as you keep your Disney+ subscription active.

However, it seems that if you don’t want to go down that path, it’s not actually going to be that long before you can access the film via a regularly subscription to the streaming service. With credit to Disney, it’s posted in some parts of the world that the film will arrive to all Disney+ subscribers from December 4th 2020.

This hasn’t been officially announced, but lots of sites have picked up screen grabs – here’s one – although at the time of writing, there’s no such message anymore on the Disney+ UK site.

UPDATE: This is now confirmed.

More as we hear it. Expect reviews for the film to land shortly.
