Extraction 2 is happening, it’s been confirmed, as Netflix orders a sequel to its huge Chris Hemsworth-headlined hit action movie.
With Chris Hemsworth in the lead role, the movie Extraction landed on Netflix last month and has gone on to be its most successful film launch of all time. Even defeating those Adam Sandler films.
The movie was written and produced by Joe Russo, with Sam Hargrave making his directorial debut on the picture. And as soon as the film dropped on the streaming service, the questions have been coming about whether they’ll be another chapter of the story. It seems that there will be.
Netflix has inked a deal with Joe Russo to pen another Extraction film, and the plan is to get Hemsworth back in the role of Tyler Rake, with Hargrave in the director’s chair again.
No news yet on when to expect the film, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
