Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco and Snoop Dogg in front of the camera and the John Wick team behind it: here’s the trailer for Day Shift.

Jamie Foxx will lead the cast in Day Shift, a film about a San Fernando Valley pool cleaner who spends his days checking water filtration units and getting leaves out of pools. By night though, he makes a real living hunting down the denizens of the undead.

Of particular interest are the creative personnel behind the camera here too. J.J. Perry, stunt co-ordinator on the John Wick films, as well as The Fate Of The Furious and Bloodshot, is making his directorial debut whilst Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick trilogy (and a one-time stunt co-ordinator himself) is producing.

Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco also star in a project that began its life as a competition-winning script at Sundance. That was enough to spike interest in the project which will now appear in front of the world’s eyeballs when it premieres on August 12th. That’s certainly the kind of good news story we like to celebrate.

You can catch the trailer for the film below, ahead of its release next month. In the wake of another upcoming vampire film, Salem’s Lot getting pushed back to next year, not to mention the MCU’s take on Blade taking an age to come together, it’s comforting to know that we’ll be able to get our bloodsucker fix courtesy of Netflix, just a month from now.
