A new film charting the career of one of Formula 1’s greatest ever drivers – Michael Schumacher – will release in just a few weeks.

There’s a strong argument to be made that Michael Schumacher is the greatest driver in the history of Formula 1. Not only that, but the personal tragedy he went through, and continues to endure, following his retirement marks him out as a true champion. A sportsman with the type of indomitable spirit that marks true legends.

Netflix has crafted a feature-length documentary film about Schumacher, and what’s more, we have our first look at it too.

The film is set to release on September 15th. Schumacher will contain interviews with Sebastian Vettel, Jean Todt, Mika Hakkinen, David Coulthard and his old rival Damon Hill. The film contains plenty of never-seen footage that promise to examine Schumacher as a man, as well as a racing car driver. It also suggests that we’ll see interviews with his family following Schumacher’s tragic life-changing accident, something fans have not yet been privy to.

You can see the trailer below ahead of the film’s September 15th launch.
