Spy thriller The Gray Man debuted at No 1 on the streaming service, now Netflix is pushing ahead with a sequel and a spin off.
The Gray Man may not have received the greatest reviews, with some calling it derivative or by the numbers, but there is no denying the star power of Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling, who helped propel the film to the top of the streaming charts.
Now, it has been confirmed that Netflix are not only pressing ahead with a sequel, but a spin off film is also in the works.
Gosling will return in the title role, while Marvel alumni Anthony and Joe Russo will return to direct, with regular collaborator Stephen McFeeley writing the script, this time without writing partner Christopher Markus.
However, few details are known about the other spin off film, except that it is also based on the book series by Mark Greaney, and Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are on board to pen the script.
There is no timeline for either of these films as of yet, but we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
