The second part of Netflix’s new short-order horror trilogy lands on July 9th – and here’s the trailer for Fear Street Part Two: 1978.

Fear Street Part One: 1994 launched on Netflix last week and offered up some fun 90s-flavoured slasher thrills. The turnaround for the sequel, and indeed the final instalment is quick for this series, with the next film, Fear Street Part Two: 1978 set to hit this Friday.

The film promises some serious Friday the 13th vibes, as ‘Camp Nightwing is divided by the campers and counsellors who hail from the prosperous town of Sunnyvale and the campers and maintenance staffers from the downtrodden town of Shadyside, but when horrors from their towns’ shared history come alive, they must band together to solve a terrifying mystery before it is too late.’

The trilogy, which was originally set for a cinematic release before being delayed by Covid, switched hands from 20th Century Studios to Netflix. The streaming giant has decided to air the three films in quick succession, meaning we can expect the third trailer for Fear Street Part Three: 1666 to land pretty sharpish.

Part Two features Sadie Sink, Emily Rudd, Ryan Simpkins, Mccabe Slye, Ted Sutherland, Jordana Spiro, Gillian Jacobs, Kiana Madeira, Benjamin Flores Jr., Ashley Zukerman, Olivia Scott Welch, Chiara Aurelia, and Jordyn Dinatale.

You can catch the trailer ahead of the film’s imminent launch, below.
