Niamh Algar, Tom Felton and Dianna Rigg lead the cast of the upcoming war thriller Buried – more details right this way.

The Cannes Film Festival may not be happening in person this year, but the festival’s marketplace – where film rights are bought for release around the world – is pressing ahead virtually over the next week or so. And one project heading to said market is the new film from The Chamber director Ben Parker.

He’s written and plans to direct Buried, a film that has attached an ensemble including Niamh Algar, Tom Felton, Dianna Rigg, Tom Glynn-Carney and Ian Hart. It’s a feature set in the closing days tf the second World War, telling the story of a female intelligence officer leading a small group of Russian soldiers. Their task? To get the remains of Adolf Hitler to Stalin in Russia.

It’s not an easy journey they face, and the plan is to shoot the film at the end of the year in Estonia. That’d point towards a release towards the end of next year at the earliest.

More news on the project as we hear it…
