New film detailing the making of Jay & Silent Bob Reboot lands

A 98-minute feature covering the making of Kevin Smith’s Jay & Silent Bob Reboot has been launched on Prime Video, and is available to watch now.

Last year’s Jay & Silent Bob Reboot movie saw Kevin Smith reopen the doors on the big screen to his View Asknewniverse, for the first time since Clerks II all the way back in 2006. The film came after he’d toyed with making Clerks III and Mallrats II, and as always, Smith did an extensive tour to promote and talk about the film when it landed.

What he also did, though, was put together an extensive behind the scenes film looking at the making of the movie. Well, he didn’t per se, but director Josh Roush did.

The film is called Magnum Dopus: The Making Of Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, and it follows the movie’s journey from Smith’s near-fatal heart attack, to filming beginning one year to the day later, to the production’s eventual release. All with contributions from those involved with the making of the picture. It’s an extensive piece of work.

What’s more, it’s now dropped on Amazon’s Prime Video service, for those who subscribe to that. It’s included with Prime subscriptions, or can be bought separately. And you can find more details and watch the film right here.
