Jason Statham and Hugh Grant star in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming movie, that’s heading to cinemas in early 2022 – more details right here.

Come the end of July, we get the UK release of Wrath Of Man, the first film to pair director Guy Ritchie and his most famous acting discovery – Jason Statham – in over a decade. Yet even as we settle down to watch that, their next collaboration will only be six months away from the big screen.

They’ve joined forces again for an untitled movie that co-stars Hugh Grant, Aubrey Plaza, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone and Josh Hartnett. It’s a caper that sees a spy – played by The Statham – trying to stop Hugh Grant’s character selling weapons technology that could destroy the world. Their plan? Hire a huge movie star – played by Hartnett – to stop them.

STX is backing the project, and a US release date has been announced of January 21st 2022 for the movie. Given that most films should be back to roughly simultaneous dates by then, we’re hoping for a UK release around the same time.

We’ll keep you posted as we hear more. Just as the movie is heading into cinemas in the US incidentally, The Statham will have started shooting The Meg 2 for director Ben Wheatley. There is much to look forward to.
