Pig will star Nicolas Cage, and it sounds like he’ll be in a bad mood.

Well, you can’t accuse Nicolas Cage of being second-guessed. For his latest movie, he’s going to be playing a truffle hunter, who happens to be something of a recluse. Furthermore, a reclusive truffle hunter whose prize pig happens to be kidnapped. And he wants his pig back.

Starring alongside Alex Wolff, the film – which is called Pig – will see Cage’s character having to return back to where he came from previously, confronting his past whilst tracking down his pig. Because why wouldn’t it?

The film has been penned by Michael Sarnoski, based on a story he and Vanessa Block came up with. Sarnoski has directed the film too, his feature debut.

The plan is for the film to get a cinema bow first, before heading to home formats. We’ll keep you posted as we hear of a UK release. Neon has just snapped up the rights in America.

And don’t worry if you don’t like this particular production. Another Cage movie will be along soon. He can get keep cinemas filled up with new movies for us whilst all the other films are delayed.
