The story behind Pygmalion is coming to the movies.

Joel Hopkins has previously directed the likes of Last Chance Harvey and Hampstead. For his next project? He’s going to dig into the story of George Bernard Shaw’s classic play, Pygmalion.

Not Bloody Likely is the name of the project in question, and it’s one for which Hopkins has penned the screenplay and will direct. The film will explore the story behind the play, and it’s being backed by Big Man Films and Shooting Script Films. The plan is to film the movie in the UK this spring.

No casting news for the project has thus far been announced, and we’re guessing we’re unlikely to see a release until next year. Will keep you posted, though…
