Love & Basketball and La Dolce Vita lead the new additions to the Criterion Collection this coming October: more here.

The Criterion Collection range of premium and rather posh Blu-ray releases will expand by three more titles in October in the UK, and the identity of those new releases has now been announced.

On October 18th comes Federica Fellini’s La Dolce Vita, his 1960 film starring Marcello Mastroianni. Amongst the new extra features Criterion has put together are a new visual essay, an interview with the film’s assistant director Lina Wertmuller, an interview with Antonello Sarno about the film’s fashion and a few other bits and bobs too.

On October 25th we get Gina Prince-Bythewood’s Love & Basketball, starring Sanaa Lathan and Omar Epps. Her feature directorial debut, the Criterion edition comes with a brand new making of documentary, a new look at editing the film, a fresh chat about the film’s impact and some of Prince-Bythewood’s short films too.

Then finally on the same day comes Luchino Visconti’s 1969 film The Damned. This one stars Dirk Bogarde, Ingrid Thulin and Helmut Berger, and the new release brings a bunch of archive interviews together, as well as a new interview with Stefano Albertini.

All three are available to order now. You can find La Dolce Vita here, Love & Basketball here and The Damned right here.
