Elvis’ Olivia DeJonge has been cast in Cooper Raiff’s The Trashers – she’ll be starring alongside David Harbour and Cooper Hoffman.

Director Cooper Raiff’s latest feature, The Trashers, has added Olivia DeJonge to its cast. The role DeJonge will be playing is currently unclear, but she’ll be starring opposite David Harbour and Cooper Hoffman, Deadline reports.

Based on real-life events, the film will follow A.J (Hoffman), the son of Jimmy Galante (Harbour). Galante was the CEO of a Connecticut waste disposal company and an associate of the Genovese crime family. In an attempt to bond with his son over a shared interest, Galante bought the city’s minor-league hockey team, the Danbury Trashers, and assigned A.J to run it. They were soon notorious for their rough style of play. Nonetheless, they also grew a considerable fan base. Their success came to an abrupt end when Galante was arrested on 72 criminal charges, including defrauding the United Hockey League.

Raiff, who gained critical acclaim for drama Cha Cha Real Smooth, will direct from a script by Adam R. Perlman. The real-life A.J Galante serves as executive producer on the project.

Production on The Trashers is reportedly set to begin in the autumn. We’ll bring you more news as we hear it.
