Paul King will be directing Everyday Parenting Tips, with Ryan Reynolds set to take on the lead role in the movie.
A few weeks after the news landed that he wouldn’t be sitting in the director’s chair for Paddington 3, Paul King has picked his new project.
He’s signed up for a comedy boing by the name Everyday Parenting Tips, the genesis of which has come from a short story by Simon Rich that was published in New Yorker magazine. Rich has subsequently turned this into a movie screenplay, about monsters under the bed and not always helpful parenting advice.
Ryan Reynolds is to star in the movie, which is being produced by Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Aditya Sood. Universal Pictures has backed the production.
It’s unclear when the whole project will move forward, and if Paul King is also still attached to a planned Willy Wonka prequel movie. But as we hear more about the movie, we’ll let you know.
No word yet on who’s directing Paddington 3, incidentally…
