Blue Story, Like A Boss and more are getting a digital release on April 13th from Paramount.

A quartet of movies have been confirmed for a slightly early digital release in the UK by Paramount Pictures. In each of these cases, the films had completed their theatrical run, and as such these aren’t really instances of movies being moved a great deal around the calendar. But a couple of them have had their release fasttracked.

The four films in question? There’s Like A Boss, which has only just been released in UK cinemas. Tiffany Haddish and Rose Byrne lead the comedy, with Salma Hayek, Billy Porter and Jennifer Coolidge in the ensemble too.

Then there’s Blake Lively headlining the thrilled The Rhythm Section. This one earned solid reviews around the time of its release, but didn’t manage to find much of a cinema audience. It’s from the producers of the Bond movies, and Jude Law co-stars.

Blue Story, from Rapman, was a box office hit in the UK last November and had been heading towards its scheduled release. That’s now coming in April.

Finally, the family movie Playing With Fire, starring Michael Cena, had landed in the UK on Boxing Day, and again wasn’t too far away from its official release date anyway. But Paramount has edged it a little forward.

All four of these films are now going to be released on video on demand services in the UK on April 13th, to download and keep. Regular, rather than premium, pricing applies.
