Tom Clancy adaptation Without Remorse, starring Michael B Jordan, will not now be getting a cinema release it’s been revealed.

Far from the first time, Paramount Pictures is opting to cut its losses on a project it planned for theatrical release, and will be selling the movie to a streaming service instead. It’s recently done this outside of the US with the next Spongebob Squarepants film (which is heading to Netflix), and next in line is Tom Clancy adaptation Without Remorse, starring Michael B Jordan.

Directed by Sicario 2 helmer Stefano Sollima, the movie had been earmarked for an autumn release, but clearly that won’t be happening now. Instead, Amazon is set to pay top dollar for the movie, ensuring that it’ll be on its streaming service this side of Christmas. Also ensuring that Paramount will be in profit on the production as well.

Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith and Luke Mitchell co-star in the film, that has a screenplay from Taylor Sheridan and Akiva Goldsman.

No word yet on a release date, and we’ll bring you more news as we get it.
