RoboCop: Rogue City has lured Peter Weller to his most famous role, and a trailer has been released too – more right this way.

It’s something of an urban myth that Peter Weller walked away from the third RoboCop movie due to dissatisfaction with the production and the direction it was taking. In fact, it was said to be a project clash that knocked him out of RoboCop 3 and led Robert Burke to taking the dual role of Alex Murphy and RoboCop on.

But now, over 30 years on, Weller is returning to his most famous role. He’s reprising the role of RoboCop for the upcoming videogame RoboCop: Rogue City, that’s set to arrive next summer. A few details of the game have started to come to light, and Weller’s appearance has been confirmed by the release of a first trailer for the game.

Keep watching to the end, to see Weller back in tin…

On the big screen, there are still plans for a fifth RoboCop movie – RoboCop Returns – but word on that has been non-existent for a little while. Weller is not involved in the movie.

RoboCop: Rogue City is scheduled for June 2023.
