Vin Diesel stars in Pitch Black, and the first Riddick movie is marking Arrow’s entry into the world of Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray.

The rightly-acclaimed science fiction favourite Pitch Black may have spawned a series of sequels that have thus-far failed to match the first. But that original movie? It’s still some piece of work, and it’s the title that Arrow Video has chosen to mark its entry into the world of Ultra 4K Blu-ray physical releases.

On August 17th, it’s released the film on both Blu-ray and Ultra HD 4K, with a brand new restoration. Furthermore, the first Riddick movie will also be bolstered by hours of extra material, and both the theatrical and director’s cuts of the movie.

The film is available to preorder now, and is the first of a selection of titles Arrow is planning to bring to the 4K format. Good good.

Here’s the preorder link.
