Olivia Cooke and Alec Baldwin star in the upcoming Pixie – and here’s the first trailer and more details.
Now this looks fun. Pixie is an upcoming mix of comedy and crime thriller, that gives a lead role to the brilliant Olivia Cooke. It’s backed by Paramount Pictures and comes from director Barnaby Thompson, with a cast that also includes Alec Baldwin, Ben Hardy Daryl McCormack, Colm Meaney, Dylan Moran and Chris Walley.
Preston Thompson has penned the script, and the film shot in Northern Ireland last autumn. Now, the wraps are coming off the film ahead of its October release. And here’s the first trailer and official synopsis to give you a taste as to what’s in store…
The synopsis reads…
Pixie (Olivia Cooke) wants to avenge her mother’s death by masterminding a heist, but her plans go awry and she finds herself on the run with two young men (Ben Hardy, Daryl McCormack) who are way out of their depth being chased across the Wild Irish countryside by… deadly gangster priests. She has to pit her wits against everyone, taking on the patriarchy to claim the right to shape her own life.
The film is scheduled to open in UK and Irish cinemas from October 23rd. We’re looking forward to seeing it.
