Plans afoot for a new Power Rangers cinematic universe

The man behind The End Of The F—ing World has been hired to develop a new slate of Power Rangers movies, it’s been revealed.

The last time the Power Rangers were on the big screen, it was revealed before the movie was released that there were plans for many, many sequels. I thought the 2017 film was pretty decent myself, but I’m not in the majority, and the box office certainly wasn’t at a level to trigger more films.

Instead, a further reboot was set to happen. And now, the movie franchise has been taken up by Entertainment One (now owned by Hasbro), that’s hired Jonathan Entwistle to get things back up and running.

Entwistle created the TV show The End Of The F—ing World, and his job now isn’t just one film, it’s a new cinematic universe.

It’ll be a complete restart for the movie series too, and as we get news on the new movie(s), we’ll let you know.
