Carey Mulligan leads the cast of the terrific-looking Promising Young Woman – and here’s the first trailer.

Arriving in cinemas next year is Promising Young Woman, a movie that already looks high on our want-to-watch list.

It’s led by Carey Mulligan, Laverne Cox and Bo Burnham, with an ensemble that also includes Alison Brie, Jennifer Coolidge, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Molly Shannon and Clancy Brown, amongst others.

What’s more, it’s from director Emerald Fennell, who previously helmed the hugely successful Killing Eve.

A first trailer for the movie has just been released, along with the official synopsis. Let’s do them in that order, trailer first…

And here’s the synopsis…

From visionary director Emerald Fennell (Killing Eve) comes a delicious new take on revenge. Everyone said Cassie (Carey Mulligan) was a promising young woman… until a mysterious event abruptly derailed her future.  But nothing in Cassie’s life is what it appears to be: she’s wickedly smart, tantalizingly cunning, and she’s living a secret double life by night.  Now, an unexpected encounter is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs of the past in this thrilling and wildly entertaining story.

No official release date has been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
