Ellen E Jones and Mark Kermode present Screenshot, that starts on Radio 4 this evening: more details on it here.

A heads up for a new film programme that gets underway on BBC Radio 4 from tonight. Hosted by Ellen E Jones and Mark Kermode, it goes by the name of Screenshot, and it’s something just a little different.

The aim of each episode, which run for the best part of 45 minutes apiece, is to take a film as a starting point and then go down a rabbit hole of connections and links. No shortage of interesting guests either. The first episode covers West Side Story, and contributors include Abel Ferrara, Baz Luhrmann, Rita Moreno, Jovian Wade, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Miriam Margoyles. Jane Long produces.

The show broadcasts at 7.15pm tonight (Friday), and will be available on the BBC’s catch-up service thereafter. You can find out more information right here.
