Rebel Wilson headlines the cast of the now-filming The Almond & The Seahorse – more details on the movie right here.

From directors Tom Stern and Celyn Jones comes a brand new feature that started filming yesterday in the UK. The Almond & The Seahorse – that we briefly touched on in issue 23 of our magazine – is based on Kaite O’Reilly’s play, and she’s penned the script for the film too, along with Jones.

The movie comes from the production company Mad As Birds, behind the recent Eddie Izzard-starring Six Minutes To Midnight, and the Diane Keaton-headlined Poms. And its new film has attracted quite a cast too.

Rebel Wilson headlines the ensemble, that also includes Charlotte Gainsbourgh, Trine Dryholm, Alice Lowe, Meera Syal, Ruth Madeley and Jones himself. We don’t have a release date for the movie as of yet, but we do have the official synopsis. It reads as follows…

What happens when you’re ambushed by time? An archaeologist and an architect fight to re-imagine a future after traumatic brain injury leaves them adrift from the people they love.

More on the movie as we hear it, not least when we get details of a release date.
