The Mads Mikkelsen action-comedy Riders Of Justice will be recreated by Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps production company, it has been announced.

Riders For Justice will be getting an English language remake, it has been announced. The Danish action comedy from director Anders Thomas Jensen released in the UK earlier this year, delighting both critics and audiences, whilst also proving to be yet another memorable role for Mads Mikkelsen.

Now it has been announced that the film will be getting the Hollywood treatment, with director and producer Shawn Levy tackling the project through his 21 Laps production banner. Whether Levy plans to direct the film following Free Guy, his most recent directorial outing, is unclear as of yet. But we’ll let you know as we hear more.

Riders For Justice follows ‘a recently-deployed soldier who returns home to care for his teenage daughter after his wife is killed in a tragic train accident. But when a team of statistics experts claim foul play, the soldier embarks on a revenge-fuelled mission, along with this eclectic group, to find those responsible.’

Lionsgate is backing the project and whilst 21 Laps has its hands full with a host of projects at the moment, we’d expect to hear more on this one fairly soon.
